Burdett’s practice considers loss/gain interactions, dualistic rituals and power dynamics. Their works navigate states of becoming by portraying textures in motion.

Many of their works are intentionally damaged, defaced or otherwise destroyed after completion so as to confront the feelings of grief that come with loss, and to allow for regeneration of the materials of the artwork itself.
